Child participation cluster presentation and competence center launch

Registration: https://forms.office.com/e/6WBJmwtCc0

We invite you to the presentation and official launch of the Child Participation Cluster – a meeting for organisations, institutions, and professionals who see child participation as a real principle of practice, not merely a formal requirement.

During this meeting, we will introduce the newly established national Child Participation Cluster, its objectives, areas of activity, and opportunities to join.

Why is this cluster being created?

There are many initiatives in Lithuania working with children and young people. However, they often operate separately, without a structured space for systematic cooperation, exchange of experience, or strengthening common quality standards.

The aim of the Child Participation Cluster is to bring organisations and professionals together so that we can jointly:

  • strengthen meaningful and ethical child participation,
  • share methodologies and practical tools,
  • develop shared principles of quality and safeguarding,
  • enhance the representation of children’s voices at local and national levels.

The Cluster is focused on practical collaboration and concrete action.

During the event:

  • we will present the vision and structure of the Child Participation Cluster,
  • discuss the opportunities the Cluster will offer its members,
  • introduce the Competence Centre, where methodologies, tools, research, and good practices will be collected,
  • discuss organisations’ needs and expectations,
  • answer questions about membership and next steps.

International context

The Child Participation Cluster is part of the international ICPNs project, which brings together partners from 11 European countries. This means that Cluster members will have the opportunity to:

  • learn about child participation practices and models applied in other countries,
  • establish connections with international organisations and experts,
  • develop joint initiatives and projects at national and international levels,
  • strengthen their organisations’ competencies based on international experience and tested solutions.

In Lithuania, the initiative is implemented by “Gelbėkit vaikus” (Save the Children Lithuania), as part of the international Save the Children network and drawing on long-standing experience in the field of child rights and safeguarding.

Who is this event for?

The event is intended for:

  • non-governmental organisations,
  • representatives of municipal and state institutions,
  • school communities,
  • youth and children’s organisations,
  • professionals working with children and young people.

Date and registration

The event will take place on 5 March.
