This training is intended for specialists who organize discussions with children and youth in their work and aim to strengthen children’s participation in decision-making. During the training, we will discuss how to speak with children about sexual violence safely and sensitively, how to create a trust-based dialogue, and which principles help involve children in conversations on this sensitive topic. We will also examine how to hear children’s opinions during discussions regarding what information they lack, what mistakes adults make when talking about sexual violence, and how children and young people could become active partners in creating prevention and public education initiatives.
